Ordering Multiple Playtests
Section titled “Ordering Multiple Playtests”When you create a playtest request, you specify a quantity — the number of playtest slots to open. Each slot is claimed independently by a different playtester, so you get diverse perspectives on the same build.
Reviewing Submissions
Section titled “Reviewing Submissions”When a playtester submits their video:
- You receive a notification and an email
- You have 7 days to review — after that, the submission is auto-accepted
- Accept: the playtester earns $10 and receives a positive rating
- Reject: provide a reason. The playtester can dispute if they believe the rejection is unfair
Providing Instructions
Section titled “Providing Instructions”There are several places to provide text for playtesters, each with a different purpose:
- Game description — general info about your game. Shown to playtesters before they claim, so they can decide if it’s a good fit.
- Game instructions — how to play/test your game (controls, setup). Only shown after claiming.
- Notes for testers — per-playtest focus areas, e.g. “Test the tutorial and first boss fight”. Set when creating each playtest. Only shown after claiming.
- Game keys — Steam keys or other access keys. Distributed one per playtester, only shown after claiming.
Instructions, notes, and keys are intentionally hidden before claiming to protect sensitive information.
For a detailed breakdown of all text fields and their visibility, see Creating Playtests — Text Fields & Playtester Visibility.
